How Do I choose an Edge to Edge Design?

Option 1: If you would like me to make suggestions (or would trust me to pick for you), I am happy to do so. Simply describe what you have in mind, and I will search my database to find just the right pattern.

Option 2: Want to choose your own pattern? Take a look at the digitized quilting patterns on my website. Click here to go to "Edge-to-Edge Designs." Don’s see what you want, check with me to see what else I have available. You might also click the Portfolio tab to see finished quilts for more inspiration!

Option 3: Don’t see what you are looking for? You can browse commercially available digital pantographs for purchase using the links below. Search the terms "digital pantograph" or "digital edge-to-edge" (E2E) to browse. All E2E Designs need to be available in “.qli” format in order to be compatible with my Statler. If you find a design you like, type the design name and the website where you found it on the “Book My Quilt” Form. I will purchase the new E2E design, and a flat $10 fee will be added to your invoice.

How do I pay for longarm Quilting?

You will receive an invoice via PayPal once I have finished your quilt. Mail-in customers may pay via PayPal or Zelle friends or Venmo. Local customers may pay using check or cash in addition to the methods listed above. Payment is due upon receipt or prior to mailing.

How do I get my quilt to you?

  1. You may ship your quilt to my studio using the address provided once I review and confirm your quilting submission request.

  2. If you are local, note this on the bottom of the “Book My Quilt” form, and I will contact you to make arrangements to meet. Quilts may be dropped off at my studio on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday afternoons by appointment, or we can arrange to meet in town on one of the days mentioned above.

How should you prepare your quilt for longarm quilting?

1. Square up your quilt top as best you can.

2. Press all the seams on the quilt top and backing and make sure that there aren’t any pleats or hard creases anywhere.

3. Make sure that both ends of your backing are straightened and square. Squaring up the backing is necessary in order for me to be able to load it onto my quilting frame as straight as possible. If your backing isn’t square, I will need to straighten it for you and will add an additional service fee to your invoice. Note: I will always contact you before adding any additional services to your invoice.

4. Your quilt backing must be 8" longer and 8" wider than your quilt top.

Ex: For a quilt top measuring 60” x 80” - Your quilt backing should measure a minimum of 68” x 88”)

5. Clip off all excessive loose strings around the edges of your quilt and on the back of the quilt to prevent them from showing through the top once it has been quilted.

6. **If you have multiple seams which end along the edges of the quilt, it is highly recommended that you stay stitch 1/8th inch inside the edge of the quilt top around the entire perimeter of the quilt top using a1.8 or 2.0 stitch length. This will keep these seams from popping open during the quilting process.

7. Mark the top edges of your quilt top and backing fabric using a safety pin to affix a label marked "TOP" to the appropriate edges. This is especially important for directional prints and patterns!

8. Please place your quilt in a sealed plastic bag to prevent any possible damage to your quilt by water or any other means. I will return your quilt in a sealed plastic bag as well.
